At RapidATS, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our ATS resume scoring service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password through Supabase authentication.
Resume Data
We process your uploaded PDF resumes to generate ATS scores. We store a hashed fingerprint of your resume for caching purposes, but we do not permanently store the raw PDF file or its full text content.
Job Descriptions
When you use the JD Match feature, we process the job description text you provide. A hashed fingerprint is stored for caching, but the full text is not retained after processing.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous session data (session IDs) to enforce rate limits for free users. For authenticated users, we store your score history including overall scores, bands, and timestamps.
2. How We Use Your Information
- •Service Delivery: To analyze your resume and provide ATS scores and JD matching reports.
- •Rate Limiting: To enforce the 3 free checks limit for anonymous users.
- •Score History: To display your past scoring results in your dashboard.
- •Performance Optimization: Hashed fingerprints enable us to cache results and deliver faster scoring for identical resumes/JDs.
- •Service Improvement: We may analyze anonymized, aggregated data to improve our scoring algorithms.
3. Data Storage and Security
Infrastructure: All data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL) and our backend servers.
Encryption: Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to backend systems, and access is logged and monitored.
Retention: Resume content is processed in memory and not permanently stored. Hashed fingerprints and score history are retained until you delete your account.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- →Service Providers: We use Supabase for authentication and database services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- →Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or government regulation.
- →Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity.
5. Your Rights
Access
You can view your score history anytime in your dashboard.
Deletion
Contact us to request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Correction
You can update your email address through your account settings.
Portability
Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies and local storage for:
- ✓Authentication (session tokens stored by Supabase)
- ✓Session ID generation for rate limiting anonymous users
- ✓Basic application state management
We do NOT use third-party advertising or analytics cookies at this time.
7. Children's Privacy
RapidATS is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
8. International Users
RapidATS is operated from India. If you are accessing our service from outside India, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in India, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable frameworks for users in those jurisdictions.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a prominent notice on our website.
